When it's good you arrive in an hour and a half, it depends on the time you travel. But often two-three hours are not enough to reach the beaches of Pula and Chia starting from Cagliari.

Over the last two spring weekends , thousands of motorists have come to terms with the by now chronic inconvenience of the Statale 195 , where yesterday traffic slowed down significantly following an accident between Villa San Pietro and Pula. Nightmare trips are announced also in this first summer weekend.

The 56-kilometre journey that thousands of motorists face every day to get to Pula and Domus de Maria starts in Cagliari.

Once you have crossed the stretch of 130, which ends at the junction at the height of the Scafa bridge, you enter the Statale 195. There are no particular problems in the first kilometre. Traffic flows well up to the end of the four lanes, but the inconvenience begins just before the Macchiareddu roundabout.

Long queues form every day at all hours. Traffic is always heavy. Heavy vehicles abound, including trucks, tankers, scheduled buses and coaches. We travel in fits and starts between roundabouts, narrowings and construction sites. Lots of construction sites, the state road 195 is one of the unfinished historical ones on the island.
