It's been a busy day for the firefighters in Olbia, which has been hit by heavy rain since the early hours of the morning.

The Sassari Command sent the officer on duty to coordinate ground rescue requests, while Commander Antonio Giordano flew over the most affected areas with the helicopter departing from the Alghero Fertilia base.

Teams from Olbia, Ozieri, and Arzachena are operating on site, as well as diving and water rescue teams from the headquarters.

Roads, underpasses, basements, and even ground floors are flooded. Several people were trapped in their homes and businesses. Numerous interventions were carried out to secure buildings.
