For months Marilena Pintore, president of the Vivere a Colori association which gathers over 8 thousand members, has organized - together with other cancer patients - a permanent hospital in Nuoro, in a camper in the gardens of Piazza Vittorio. And soon, in the capital, the Undersecretary of Health Andrea Costa will make an inspection.

The reason for the protest is respect for the right to health, of cancer patients but also of all citizens.

A meeting took place in Rome between Pintore and Costa together with the deputy of the Mixed Group Mara Lapia. "Maximum attention to Nuorese health care - said the undersecretary - as soon as the votes for the election of the President of the Republic are concluded, together with my colleague Lapia, I will visit the San Francesco hospital and visit the association Vivere a Colori ".

"It is not the first time that I have brought to the attention of the Government the critical issues of Nuoro health care. In 2019 I promoted the visit of Undersecretary Bartolazzi to Nuoro and Siniscola, this time we are dealing with San Francesco and Nuorese health care. We cannot wait any longer - reiterated the Sardinian parliamentarian - we must not only save this hospital, but make it return to the important place it occupied in this area ".

"We have taken a big step forward today. Crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea - added Pintore - we have given a strong impulse to our protest. Thanks also to the support of the deputy Lapia, we will let the undersecretary touch our problems and the shortcomings of this territory. in the health sector, perhaps we will finally be able to improve our condition as patients and perhaps finally guarantee the right to health also for the citizens of Nuoro ".
