«In a series of worrying developments, the Regional Council of Sardinia has been rocked by a harsh attack in recent days, with particular emphasis on the Councilor for Health, Carlo Doria, and his often incorrect and serious statements». «Official documents revealed that some patients were advised to seek treatment outside Sardinia , an extremely serious and shameful situation that requires an immediate response . We express our solidarity with all the patients who are facing these difficulties and we underline that the approach of councilor Doria, who defined the situation as "false" , is unacceptable."
Thus Carla Cuccu , regional councilor of Idea Sardegna Alleanza Civica Identitaria and secretary of the health commission. Which highlights: «The current management of the situation is a disaster for all citizens and requires serious intervention and an in-depth investigation to establish the truth».
According to Cuccu, the health situation in central Sardinia, «already widely known, continues to cause concern, with an urgent problem relating to the air ambulance in Nuoro, which is not operational at night, putting the lives of the most serious patients at risk».
“ It is not acceptable that patients face waiting lists of more than six months to receive cancer treatments such as radiotherapy . This is not the kind of life we should be allowing our citizens and the junta must take responsibility for addressing this crisis immediately. We ask Councilor Doria to appear in the chamber as soon as possible to discuss this urgent situation. Citizens and patients deserve concrete answers and solutions. We are committed to collaborating with all those who wish to be heard and to working together to reform the regional health system, which is currently ineffective and seems to have been abandoned to itself", the conclusion.
