Trade union organizations in a state of agitation due to the Nuorese health crisis.
The secretariats of Fp-Cgil, Cisl-Fp, Uil-Fpl, Aaroi Emac, Anaao Assomed, Cimo Fesmed and Fassid Sardegna have also announced a strike day if "the requests for the disastrous situation and staff shortages of the San Francesco di Nuoro will not be escaped ".
The initials were addressed to the Prefect of Nuoro, to the commissioners of Ats and Assl of Nuoro, and to the director of the regional health department to denounce that "the current situation of the regional health system is dramatic, in particular the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro suffers from a shortage of staff which creates a considerable workload and risks for the staff ”.
"On the mandate of the assembly of the Hospital of Nuoro - continue the unions - on 4 October a meeting was requested from our managers, but this request had no response and in a new assembly, called on 19 October, the assembly gave a mandate to proceed with the state of agitation. In case of non-acceptance or negative outcome of the conciliation, our secretariats will implement further forms of mobilization, also resorting to the strike of all the staff of the Health of the Assl of Nuoro ".
For months, citizens from all over central Sardinia have been fighting against the dismantling of San Francesco, once the third health center in Sardinia, which serves Goceano, Ogliastra, Gallura and Oristanese beyond the province of Nuoro. A few days ago, after the temporary closure of the Surgery and Orthopedics wards due to lack of staff, citizens, associations and trade unions protested in the square in Nuoro.
The protesters denounced the dismantling of hospital and territorial health care with the lack of 7 or 8 doctors per department at San Francesco, the chronic shortage of general practitioners and pediatricians and the impoverishment of territorial clinics.
