“I'm a fugitive ahahaha”. This is what a 23-year-old from Logudoro was delighted with on Facebook, who had also written "Totò Riina" on his profile, under nicknames.

"At the beginning of May - the investigators explain - the final sentence issued by the Section for Minors of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari had arrived and the almost 24-year-old GF - originally from a small town in the Logudoro area, still young but equipped with a well-stocked and highly respected criminal record - he should have entered prison to serve a definitive sentence of 4 years and 9 months of imprisonment for crimes committed in June 2016 , when - still 17 years old, confined to the Penal Institute for Minors of Quartucciu - he had made responsible for very serious crimes against the person and against public safety".
"On that occasion - the investigators continue -, despite being confined to a prison, he had associated himself with other inmates and had first participated in some tortures carried out with a stick against a young cellmate and then set fire to some furniture and of furnishings with the specific intention of creating havoc and fleeing ».
In the aftermath of the sentence, however, the boy - already known by the soldiers of the Ozieri Arma - had immediately made himself untraceable and, while maintaining a low profile in his travels, had moved freely throughout the region, also starting to decant on social media the fact of being wanted.
Soon, however, the soldiers of the Ozieri station managed to identify the city where he was hiding - Olbia - gradually narrowing the circle.
Thursday the turning point: after hours of observation, the 24-year-old, alone and hooded with a sweatshirt, was noticed by the men of the Arma who were stationed in via Veneto. The boy first tried to ignore it, but the Commander of the Carabinieri station in his home town recognized him and called him by name, making him betray him . Then the release of handcuffs and the transfer to the Bancali prison to begin serving his sentence.
