Cristian Medda worked in a bar in Sanluri to contribute to the family's expenses and maintain his studies in law: he died at just 20 years old on provincial road 58, in the night between Friday and Saturday, while returning home to Serramanna , at the end of shift. His car went off the road and, in the impact, there was no escape for him. Possible causes: a loss of control due to the asphalt made slick by the rain or falling asleep.

A drama that shocked two communities. “He hadn't received his first salary yet,” says the owner of the place where Cristian had recently started working.

«Our entire community rallies around the Medda family, offering comfort and affection to share the weight of this unbearable loss», are the words of the mayor of Serramanna, Gabriele Littera. «Cristian, a model student, sportsman, worker, in his young age», says the mayor, «had a future before him full of promises and opportunities, the tragic epilogue of which profoundly shook all of us. Cristian's life was tragically cut short, but the memory of his smile and vitality will remain in the hearts of those who knew him."

Citizen mourning has been proclaimed for Monday in Serramanna.
