Yesterday in Guasila a 55-year-old farmer from Baressa was reported by the Carabinieri of the local station. The charge is that of "escape following a road accident caused by failure to provide assistance to the other party and road injuries".
According to what was reconstructed by the military personnel, on 19 September the man - driving a Saab car, along the SP 46, towards Ussaramanna-Villamar, at kilometer 9 - lost control of the vehicle , crashing into a car coming from the opposite direction.
He then fled, abandoning the vehicle in the countryside and escaping on foot. He was then tracked down and identified thanks to searches by the Carabinieri.
