He tried to set fire to the car, stopped at the petrol station, which the police wanted to seize from him because he was drunk. And with his friend he attacked the soldiers, hitting one of them in the back of the head.

The events, which occurred in Sedilo , date back to Saturday night. The two were stopped and the driver was subjected to a breathalyzer test. Result: he had a blood alcohol level of 1.75, more than three times higher than the norm.

While the police were preparing to seize his vehicle , the man first attempted to set it on fire, throwing burning paper inside the engine compartment next to the fuel delivery pipes, then attacked them, hitting one of the soldiers. The passenger also threw himself at the men in uniform, but was immediately stopped.

The two were arrested on charges of resisting a public official. The driver also faces charges of driving under the influence and attempted arson.
