A 36-year-old motorcyclist from Sestu, Alessandro Ferru, died in the afternoon on State Road 387, at kilometer 31, on the border between Donori and Sant'Andrea Frius.
The centaur was driving his Yamaha R6 on the hairpin bends, towards Sant'Andrea. For reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle, going off the road and falling down an embankment for about ten metres. Unfortunately, the impact was fatal.
The police intervened on site and carried out investigations. The investigations carried out so far have excluded the involvement of other vehicles.
The motorcyclist's body will be returned to his family.
