First he collided with a car, then he drove off at full speed towards Sanluri and went off the road, causing himself minor injuries.
A 45-year-old worker from Sanluri got into trouble, the carabinieri of the Gesturi station who intervened on the spot ascertained that the man was driving with an alcohol content over 4 times higher than the permitted limit.
Thus the military, who intervened after reporting an accident, reconstructed the busy day of the worker, already known to the police. At the intersection between State Road 197 and Provincial Road 48, aboard a Mercedes, he collided with an Opel aboard which were Gesturi's husband, wife and three children. Luckily all unharmed.
Immediately afterwards he left the scene at full speed and lost control of the vehicle along the provincial road, ending up off the road. The 45-year-old, injured, refused treatment. Subjected to the breathalyzer, it tested positive with a rate of 2.06 grams per litre.
The carabinieri withdrew his license and confiscated the vehicle. The man has been charged.
