He decided to take advantage of a convenient offer on the Facebook marketplace. A Goldoni tractor for sale for less than 6 thousand euros.

So a farmer from Samatzai aged around 60 wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and paid a Postepay top-up of 2,928 euros to a stranger, necessary to block the deal.

The money arrived at its destination, the agricultural vehicle never arrived and the unknown person who was supposed to take care of the delivery vanished into thin air.

So the farmer turned to the police at the local station, who, following the path of the money, identified the fraudster and reported him. This is a 29-year-old from Solarino, a city in the province of Syracuse.
