On the dunes of Piscinas as on the track , between gymkhanas and wild races on the beach on their motocross bikes . Two German tourists were in trouble , stopped by the Forestry Police, who were sharing their itineraries on social media with other bikers on the island's beaches. But the "guides" did not have the desired effect: the videos ended up in the hands of Sardinian rangers who immediately set out on the couple's trail. The regional and territorial operations rooms of Cagliari and Tempio, the staff of the Investigative Unit of the Cagliari Inspectorate and the staff of the Padru Forestry Station were involved.

The two tourists, within six days, traveled around Sardinia starting from the north. The routes then ended up on specialized social channels to advertise "tourist" itineraries . What definitively caught the "pirates" on two wheels was the video made on the dunes of Piscinas, on the Arbus coast. Subsequent cross-checks with the shipping companies revealed that the two should have embarked from the Olbia port towards Livorno. The departure was scheduled for last Sunday. But at the airport, waiting for them to board, there was a patrol of foresters who - after checking the license plates of the vehicles - stopped the two.

The alleged violations are different and also of a criminal nature . For damage to the dune system there are penalties ranging from arrest to two years and a fine of 15 to 51 thousand euros. There are also administrative violations of regional law 16 of 2017, which prohibits both transit on the beaches and free camping: each violator received a fine of 400 euros.
