Four people reported, hundreds of illegal trapping tools (including a deadly trap) and game seized. This is the outcome of an anti-poaching operation in Sulcis and Sarrabus .

In Sulcis, precisely in the localities of Marzaloi in Uta and Santa Rosa in Capoterra, both in the Gutturu Mannu Regional Park. The staff of the Uta forestry station caught two pensioners already known for poaching crimes in the act of committing a crime, intent on placing steel cables and above all a very dangerous trap. The deadly trap was positioned on a path to capture deer and wild boars, seriously putting any hikers who happened to pass by there at serious risk. During subsequent house searches, other capture tools were seized, as well as game that had been poached.

In Sarrabus, in the Conca Arrubia area in the countryside of Villasimius, the staff of the Castiadas Forestry station caught two poachers red-handed , also with previous convictions, intent on placing nets for fowling. From these, 27 nets and 45 thrushes, captured with illicit tools, were seized.

The operations, with the help of the Forestry Stations of Pula, Teulada, Sinnai and Campuomu, have made it possible to clear vast areas of illegal capture tools that are harmful to biodiversity, such as fowling nets and cables for capturing deer and wild boars. Objective «to intensify controls in the territory to protect in particular the migratory species engaged in this period in the "return" from the wintering areas to the nesting areas in continental Europe».
