"Other authorities are responsible for reconstructing the chain of events and any negligence that led to Roberta's death," said Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi, who officiated the funeral. A shocking tragedy: Pitzalis was 38 years old . At the Fiesta Latina in Monserrato, she had bought a sandwich topped with guacamole. She was initially admitted to Brotzu Hospital and then transferred to Businco Hospital, where she died last Friday morning. She was among eight people hospitalized.
Among the hundreds of people present at the funeral were the mayors of Guasila and Monserrato, Paola Casula and Tomaso Locci . "We must trust in God, who is forgiveness and hope," Baturi added.
A long round of applause greeted Roberta Pitzalis's coffin as it left the church shortly before noon.
