Walter Pusceddu, riding "Io ci provo" from the Masuri stables, won the 37th edition of the prestigious Palio dell'Assunta, in Guasila. It was an uncertain race, fought until the end with the horse of the Municipality of Fonni that won over the horse "Mister mattonella", ridden by Gianluca Fais representing the Municipality of Guasila. In third place was the horse "Codice d'onore", ridden by Giovanni Sorgia, who ran for the Municipality of Dosmusnovas. In fourth place was the horse "Pagliaccio", with Marco Bitti, in fifth place was "Blu tornado" with jockey Alberto Bianchina representing the Municipality of Arborea.

It was a beautiful race, with the participation of jockeys who run important races on the peninsula, including the one in Siena.

The Palio dei vicinato was also run: the horse "Deghenoe" ridden by Beppe Ortu for the neighborhood of Funtana Idda won. He won with a sensational comeback. In second place, the neighborhood of "Su Partasiddu" with the horse Aster, ridden by Gianluca Fais. A lot of spectators and a lot of enthusiasm. The Palio di Guasila never disappoints.
