"You wanted so much to celebrate together and so it was, now you've left us." With these words, her niece Sonia Mascia, municipal councilor of Senorbì, paid her last farewell to Angela Lecis, the centenarian of Sisini.

The grandmother, born in the small hamlet of the municipality of Senorbì on 10 January 1924 (at the time it was customary to give birth at home), died yesterday 12 March. He had celebrated his century of life just two months earlier, when he received a visit from the mayor Alessandro Pireddu and the councilor for social services Sara Mascia, accompanied by Sonia Mascia, who is entrusted with a sweet memory of her grandmother: «The last once you told me that you loved me and you kissed me, and my heart sank because it wasn't like you to show so much affection but I didn't think it would be the last time."

Angela Lecis married Antonio Mascia in 1941 and six children were born from their union. She lived in Carbonia, when her husband worked in the Serbariu mines. By being hired as a miner in the Ente Flumendosa canal it was possible to return to Sisini.

A very believer woman, in 1982 she had overcome a major health problem. She was very fond of her 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
