Golfo Aranci, pensioner attacked and beaten at home: hunt for robbers

Brutal attack, late in the evening, against a pensioner from Golfo Aranci .

The victim is a man of almost 90 years old who discovered two masked people rummaging through his home , not far from the train station in the coastal center of Gallura. The pensioner was allegedly beaten with a metal bellows which was perhaps torn from his hands.

The elderly man, but this is a reconstruction to be verified, would have tried to defend himself by keeping the thieves away using the bellows he had in the fireplace. The victim was also hit several times in the head. A family member of the pensioner raised the alarm, but the two robbers managed to escape.

The bandits apparently took a small part of the victim's pension. The man was transferred to hospital with trauma and wounds all over his body. The Carabinieri of Olbia and Golfo Aranci are hunting the two criminals.
