A young man has been included in the register of suspects for a gigantic fire which, on 21 July, devastated over 500 hectares of areas, mostly wooded, crossing the territories of various centers in the Sarcidano area.

It is premature to assume that he is the arsonist, also because the investigations by the Prosecutor's Office are still ongoing, but his car would have been filmed that day by the cameras placed in the various towns affected by the fire.

The flames, according to the story given by those who worked for a long time to put out the fire that day, would have started in sequence from 1.30 pm, set along the route of state road 128. From Suelli to Nurri, passing through Mandas, Escolca and Gergei.
