The ATM finally arrives in Gesico. In the small town of Alta Trexenta, with 780 residents, a new service is active for the benefit of the population. In the evocative setting of "Sa Panga", the old square in the center of the town, the Banco di Sardegna ATM was installed. The municipal administration, but also the local associations, have insisted a lot with the credit institution to have the important service.

In Trexenta the Banco di Sardegna has closed several bank branches in a few years, in particular those of the smaller centers have been sacrificed: Gesico, Suelli, Selegas and Barrali. The protests of mayors and citizens had only been partially appeased with the promise of the opening of 24-hour ATM services in the town.

The inhabitants of Gesico will therefore no longer be forced to go to neighboring villages to withdraw cash, pay bills, telephone top-ups and various other functions offered by the electronic system installed in front of the premises managed by the Pro loco. Building that will soon house the Museo del Credito Agrario e Contadino and which – coincidentally – is located right in front of the former Banco di Sardegna.
