Twelve high schools involved, over 2 thousand students and female students. These are just some numbers of the new #IONONCONDIVIDO education campaign on legality organized by the local police of Sassari which will start again today. Among the topics that will be dealt with by the qualified and specifically trained staff of the local Police, there are gender violence, revenge porn and the red code.
The training and awareness-raising process, already undertaken with the third and fourth grades during the last school year, resumes today at the "GMAngioy" Technical Institute and at the "GM Devilla" Higher Institute and will continue in the coming months with a busy schedule: on the 17th at the Liceo Margherita di Castelvì and at the artistic Figari, on the 18th in the high schools of Canopoleno and at the Azuni, on Thursday 20 at the Pellegrini Institute and on Friday at the Salvator Ruju Technical Institute and at the Marconi Scientific High School. It continues on October 24 at the Spano high school and on October 25 at the Professional Institute for Services for Food, Wine and Hotel Hospitality.
The "#IONONCONDIVIDO" project foresees that at its conclusion, scheduled for December, female students, supported by managers and teachers, will try their hand at making a short film on the topic addressed, which will then be judged by an exceptional jury represented by city authorities and industry experts.
Gender-based violence is therefore the central topic that the local police officers will address in the classroom with the students and the work that will be entrusted to the schools that will adhere to the project "a short film for life" will focus on the same topic.
In particular, the theme of the Red Code will be developed with a main focus on revenge porn, which unfortunately sees a large increase in adolescent and, in some cases, even pre-adolescent victims and authors. A choice linked to the fact that young people are increasingly victims of sexual violence of a media type, caused by a criminal and deviant attitude which is that of the mania for the virality of content.
Explanatory videos and testimonies will be screened, with the aim of making people reflect on the danger that is incurred if one were to exchange sexually explicit and intimate private videos and images (sexting). Sharing images from cyber-viewers also creates co-responsibility when they contribute to the dissemination of such content.
