Traffic disruption will occur in Sassari from Monday, August 31st to Friday, September 4th . Abbanoa will be carrying out road repair work from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. following excavation work to lay new water mains.

For the entire duration of the works, traffic will be closed, in sections and for the time necessary for the work, on Piazza Colonnello Serra, downhill, between Viale Trieste and the Mercato roundabout; on Viale Umberto, downhill, between Via Cagliari and Viale Trieste; on Largo Brigata Sassari, uphill, from Via Enrico Costa; and on Via Cagliari, between Via Cavour and Viale Umberto. Traffic by ATP vehicles is prohibited, as is parking in the same sections, on both sides of the roadway for all vehicles.

The closures stem from the impossibility of carrying out the work while traffic is open. They were decided in conjunction with Abbanoa to minimize disruption to residents and public transportation users and to complete the work before the start of the school year. However, during the work, pedestrian access to homes and businesses along the affected sections will be permitted, as will emergency vehicles. Appropriate signage will be posted directing people to alternative routes.
