Fuel prices continue to rise : both those indicated by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and those at the pumps. And consumer associations are denouncing speculation.
At the national level , A.Ba.Co (the grassroots consumer association) has requested an urgent inspection from the Competition and Market Authority into the hypothesis of "an agreement restricting competition aimed at coordinating price lists between oil companies", while its Sardinian representation wants a meeting with the prefect of Cagliari "to evaluate – says the president, Enrico Rubiu – whether in Sardinia too there is a direct correlation between the increase in prices at the pump and the real costs of extraction and refining".
Adiconsum Sardegna, on the other hand, is appealing to the Public Prosecutor's Office: "Let us verify," says regional president Giorgio Vargiu, "whether there is a violation of Article 501 bis of the Criminal Code, which punishes speculation on consumer goods."
