Getting to know the cultural and architectural heritage of Chiaramonti was the objective of the visit by the students of the University of British Columbia of the Canadian city of Vancouver who participate in the Summer School "Ethnography of Sardinia: Vernacular Religion and Cultural Heritage".

The initiative was organized for the second time by Professor Sabina Magliocco , professor at the same University, together with the Pro.Meilogu Cultural Association.

The new mayor of the town of Anglona, Luigi Pinna, and the councilors Alessandro Unali and Giulia Accorrà did the honors. The visit involved the rural churches of Santa Maria di Orria Pithinna and Santa Giusta delle Acque.

«The municipal administration is happy to offer its collaboration to Prof. Sabina Magliocco and Pro.Meilogu for the organization of future Canadian University Summer Schools on the island. We are enthusiastic about promoting cultural exchange and the discovery of the richness of our territory. Thanks to all those who made this precious experience possible.
