The round trip took almost three hours . For a total of 200 kilometers and 40 euros of petrol, without however having been visited. A bad adventure a few days ago for Raffaele Serra, a 63-year-old pensioner from Uras .

About two weeks ago Serra booked through the Cup, the booking and payment system for specialist outpatient services of the Sardinia Region only if you have a medical prescription, a diabetes visit to the "Mastino" hospital in Bosa . It was the structure where it was possible to be visited in the shortest possible time. Appointment for May 18 at 12.30 , so he reads in the message that the pensioner received immediately after booking on his phone.

However, when Raffaele Serra arrived at his destination , he found no doctor . «It sounds like a joke but in reality it's all true - says the man, one hundred percent disabled due to various pathologies -. After I waited for thirty minutes I asked a nurse about my visit. She immediately told me that the doctor was absent and that all the patients who had to be seen had been advised of the cancellation of the visit . Too bad, however, that I have never received a phone call, not even an email or a message ».

Raffaele Serra, angry, together with the nurse, then approached the reception to ask for information on his story and to book another visit, since he was already there: «But the operator didn't even want to listen to me - he says Still -. Fortunately, the nurse was also with me, visibly incredulous about what happened». At that point he got into the car to go back to Uras, without being examined.

«But it doesn't end here – he promises -. I have already contacted a lawyer to file a complaint with the ASL as soon as possible . These things don't have to happen. We are not numbers but people. I'm not interested in filing any complaints, but at least I demand an apology but also to understand why these sad things still happen today in 2023".
