He had fallen in love with a Sardinian girl he met on social media and bombarded her with messages, even reaching her home, where she had returned for the Christmas holidays . But the behavior of a 28-year-old financial advisor from the Modena area was sanctioned by the Sassari Police Chief who signed a reprimand against him for persecutory acts and a mandatory expulsion order with a three-year stay ban.

The young man had made initial contact with the victim, originally from a town in Logudoro, via the internet and sent her photos, in which he often appeared half-naked, also using false profiles. When he found out that the girl worked in a disco in Florence, he showed up at the club and throughout the evening he attempted a useless courtship until the bouncers pushed him away .

Hearing that she had returned to Sardinia for the holidays, he didn't hesitate to reach the island, taking lodgings in a B&B in Logudoro: after an intense search (questioning shopkeepers, bartenders, passers-by and motorists, even exhibiting photos of the girl and family members taken from the web), managed to trace the country and also the home .

Then again the harassment: he rang the bell insistently, brought gifts, asked to meet the girl so he could go out together , regardless of the presence of his parents who on several occasions told him to leave and never come back. Carabinieri and police intervened several times, removing him and warning him to stop his behavior. Everything was in vain until, after the information from the Ozieri Commissariat, the Sassari Police Chief urgently adopted the warning measure and the expulsion order.
