The emergency medical transport of a baby girl just under a month old from Cagliari to Milan Linate concluded this afternoon , using a G650 from the 31st Wing of the Italian Air Force based in Ciampino.
The flight was authorized by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which manages and coordinates the activities of the state aircraft fleet.
The request was made by the Prefecture of Cagliari to the Situation Room of the Air Team Command - 1st Air Region of Milan, the Air Force body responsible for coordinating the crews.
The Gulfstream G650 of the 31st Wing took off from Elmas airport and arrived after about an hour of flight at Linate, home of the Airport Command - HQ of the CSA/1st Air Region.
Once on land, the little patient was entrusted to the care of the healthcare staff at the IRCCS Policlinico San Donato , where she was subsequently hospitalized.
