Cagliari and Sardinia lose a historic pillar of anti-fascism: Franco Boi, president of Uaps (Autonomous Union of Partisans of Sardinia), has died. He was 85 years old.

Born in Gergei, already a professor, he was the driving force of the 25 April Committee and protagonist of all the initiatives linked to the Liberation Day. He had also translated “Bella ciao” into the Sardinian language.

Always at the forefront of demonstrations against fascism and its more or less current derivatives, he suddenly lost the affection of his loved ones and all those who knew and respected him.
