France cancels Bordeaux-Cagliari flight, leaving 200 Sardinians stranded at the airport.

A group of approximately 200 Sardinians are stranded at Bordeaux Airport , France, after easyJet flight EC 01841 to Cagliari was cancelled. A solution for returning to Sardinia has not yet been found, causing significant disruption to passengers who had duly presented themselves at the gate.

The flight was initially announced as delayed. Then, however, a loudspeaker message—in French and English—announced the cancellation. Passengers still don't know when they'll be rebooked and, more importantly, whether they'll have to spend the night in France.

Departure was originally scheduled for 7.10 pm, with arrival at 9 pm . The Bordeaux-Cagliari route was inaugurated only a few days ago, with the first flight from the French airport to Elmas departing on Tuesday.
