The foundation towns and villages that arose during the Fascist period will have 300,000 euros for promotion, revitalization and, if necessary, arrangement of particular sites and buildings. This was decided by the Region thanks to an amendment to the Budget law and yesterday the exact figure that, initially, belongs to Carbonia, Fertilia (fraction of Alghero) and Arborea was established: 100 thousand euros each.

"It begins like this - analyzes Michele Ennas, regional councilor of the League - then possibly depending on the projects a remodulation could take place but in the meantime it was important to divide the sum that we managed to make available fairly".

At this point the three communities will have to develop projects such as to enhance the architectural and cultural aspects linked to the period in which the realities were founded.

Theoretically important is the contribution that should come from Carbonia, capable today of about 27,000 inhabitants, the ninth Sardinian city, inaugurated in 1938 after about a year of work which was sufficient to build it almost from scratch to exploit the vast coal mining deposit.
