The fracture of the jaw, caused with a wrench, is confirmed. But it would not have been the cause of death. The autopsy carried out on the body of Fabio Garavelli, the 52-year-old computer technician found dead in his home in Torre degli Ulivi, in Capoterra , did not fully clarify the mystery.
The investigations by the coroner Matteo Nioi were carried out as part of the unintentional homicide investigation conducted by the prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia.
Garavelli had revealed to some neighbors that the fracture had been caused by a wrench blow . But he had not provided further information on any attackers.
A few days before his death he had also been visited in the emergency room, at the Santissima Trinità, and an operation had been scheduled for him. On June 9, the discovery of the body, at home: the computer technician had been dead for days.
The coroner has taken all the samples and is waiting to analyze the internal organs closely, given that the autopsy examination was not easy due to the advanced state of decomposition in which the body was.
However, the investigations did not reveal obvious signs of violence, but at the moment no leads are excluded. The man, separated, had been living alone for some years in the house inherited from his missing parents.
In his past also some trouble with justice related to drug problems.
