Mayor Settimo Nizzi has two bridges demolished in Olbia .

The ordinance issued by the mayor is aimed at preventing the risks of flooding: even if nine years have passed, the devastating damage caused by cyclone Cleopatra, which brought Gallura to its knees, killing 18 victims, remains etched in the memory.

The two bridges in the town to be demolished are the one on Rio Gadduresi between via Stromboli and via Edison and the one on Riu Ua Niedda , in via Monte a Telti.

They are both included in the list of 18 works at hydraulic risk seized a year ago by the Court of Tempio , with a provision of 18 November 2021 signed by the investigating judge Claudio Cozzella.

The two bridges in fact prevent the regular flow of the two rivers below and represent a “ danger in case of heavy rainfall ”.

In the order, the mayor gives a mandate to the offices to identify a company for the demolition of the two buildings and the safety of the areas, which must be carried out within 60 days.
