For non-compliance with the rules on the traceability of fish products, fishermen, restaurateurs and traders ended up in the crosshairs of the Olbia Coast Guard who sanctioned them for 36 thousand euros and seized 50 kg of fish.

The operation, “called“ Ondina ”, was completed on 28 August and extended to professional underwater fishermen, sport and recreational fishing and weighing on landing. The military carried out around 380 checks and 92 inspections throughout the territory of northern Sardinia, including restaurants, fishmongers and fishing boats, contesting 12 minutes, raising administrative sanctions, and seizing the fish product of dubious origin.
