Fires, still emergencies in Sardinia: flames in Goni, Oristano, Villasalto, Ardauli and Thiesi

There are 15 fires that occurred in Sardinia today. In 5 of these, the Forestry Corps used ground crews and also air vehicles.

In Goni , the shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of Escalaplano, with the helicopter coming from the CFVA base in Villasalto. 3 teams from the Forestas Agency intervened, 2 of Civil Protection volunteers. The fire covered an area of about 1.5 hectares of bushy pasture.

In the Oristano area, the operations were coordinated by the staff of the Oristano Forestry Corps Station, with the helicopter coming from the CFVA base in Fenosu. A team from the Forestas Agency, one of the Fire Brigade, intervened. The fire covered an area of about 1 hectare of uncultivated land.

Helicopter in action also in Villasalto , in the locality of “Riu s'aqua callenti”, with shutdown coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of SN. Gerrei. In addition to the CFVA patrol, 4 teams from the Forestas Agency intervened. The fire covered an area of about half a hectare of Mediterranean scrub bordering a wooded area of particular value.

In Ardauli , locality “Conca 'e Damiano”, operations coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps of Neoneli, with the helicopter coming from the base of the CFVA in Sorgono. Two teams from the Forestas Agency intervened. The fire covered a small area.

In Thiesi , in the “Badde Umulu” area, the shutdown is coordinated by the staff of the Thiesi Forestry Corps Station, with the helicopter coming from the CFVA base in Bosa. The fire is interface.
