So far, in the month of April alone, 44 fires have been recorded in Sardinia. Data provided by the regional councilor for the environment, Rosanna Laconi, to the microphones of Videolina

«A decidedly higher number compared to the past, however – underlines the representative of the Todde Council – the human intervention was decisive».

Already next week, Laconi confirms, "we will bring a preview of the campaign to the council so that the entire apparatus is ready to face this problem".

The councilor specified some precise numbers: «In 2007 around 10 hectares were burned per single episode, today we are around 3.8. This means our ability to intervene in fires has significantly improved."

The results of the tenders for air vehicles will be known on May 6th.
