And for tomorrow the situation will not improve: the Civil Protection has issued a new bulletin with an orange code for high fire danger in the Cagliari area.
In short, the fires, the Civil Protection informs us, that "if not dealt with in a timely manner, they can reach such dimensions as to make it difficult to contest with the ordinary forces , even if reinforced, as it may be necessary to have the assistance of the state fleet".
Meanwhile, today, out of a total of 29 fires scattered throughout the region, there are ten that have required, in addition to the teams on the ground - the Forestry Corps, firefighters, volunteers, operators of the Forestas Agency and the Civil Protection - even aircraft of the Regional Air Fire Service.
Helicopters from the CFVA bases of Marganai and Pula worked in Siliqua , Bau Sonà. In Nurri , in the "Cuccuru Melonis" area, to put out the fire that burned coniferous forests, air vehicles arrived from the CFVA bases of Villasalto and Sorgono, as well as a Super Puma that took off from Fenosu and a Canadair that took off from Olbia.
