Fires erupt in the Escalaplano countryside: ground teams and air forces are in action.

Another day of fires in Sardinia.

The Forestry Corps responded with the support of two aircraft (a light helicopter from the San Cosimo operations base and a Superpuma from Fenosu) to a fire that broke out in the Escalaplano countryside, in the Arcu'e Azzinuri area. Volunteers from San Vito and a team from Forestas di Escalaplano were also on site.

Another fire has broken out in the Serrenti countryside, in the area of Mount Perdosu. A helicopter from the Villasalto Forestry base is working to put out the flames, along with ground teams from the Forestry Corps, GAUF, firefighters, and volunteers.
