Breakthrough in the investigation into the fire that on 21 June last year burned one hectare of vineyards, olive groves, arable land and Mediterranean scrub in Mogoro, in the Trioi area. The fire, according to investigations by the Marrubiu Forestry Corps, was due to conflicts in the agro-pastoral world. A 45-year-old man has been identified, now under investigation, who appears to have had conflicts with the owners of the land affected by the flames.

The fire had broken out around 10pm, in the area not far from the Mogoro-Masullas ring road, and only the prompt intervention of the firefighters of the Ales detachment and several citizens had prevented the flames from reaching the provincial road and the adjacent ridge, covered by dense Mediterranean scrub, thus avoiding much more serious damage.

As ordered by the Oristano Prosecutor's Office, the agents of the Marrubiu Department served the alleged perpetrator with the notice of conclusion of the preliminary investigations and the notice of investigation. The man risks three to seven years' imprisonment if found guilty.
