Fire in Alghero overnight: van damaged by flames
The flames on Via Aldo Moro, the cause of the fire still to be determined.

Another night of fire in Alghero. Firefighters from the local detachment responded around 11:30 PM to Via Aldo Moro to a van fire. The blaze seriously damaged the vehicle.
The rapid intervention of the firefighters prevented the flames that were licking the van from spreading to the surrounding vegetation, a thicket of reeds that would have contributed to the fire's spread.
The fire department and the state police are investigating the cause. Carabinieri officers from the Alghero branch are also on scene investigating the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
