Fire day in Sardinia , Monday 13 June 2022.

28 fires have broken out in the last few hours in as many locations on the island. In five cases, the intervention of air vehicles was necessary, in support of the ground teams.

The most challenging fronts were registered at:

  • Uta, in the “Case Scalas” area , where three helicopters from the forestry bases of Pula, Marganai and Fenosu came into action. A team from the Forestas Agency from the Monastir Santa Lucia construction site, a team from the Cagliari Fire Brigade and 3 teams of volunteers from the Assemini and Decimoputzu associations also took part.
  • Carbonia, in the “Sa Cussorgia de is Fenus” area , where a helicopter from the CFVA helicopter base of Marganai intervened. 1 team from the Fire Brigade of Carbonia and 2 teams of volunteers from the associations of Gonnesa and Carbonia also took part. The fire covered an area of approximately 3000 square meters of degraded pine reforestation.
  • Bottida, in the “Nuraghes” area , where the staff of the Ozieri Forestry Corps Station was supported by helicopters from the forest helicopter bases of Alà dei Sardi, Limbara and Fenosu. Also in action are two teams from the Forestas Agency of the Nughedu San Nicolò and Benetutti sites, two teams from the barracellari companies of Bottida and Esporlatu, a team from the Sassari Fire Brigade and a team of volunteers from the Illorai association.
  • Monastir, in the “Regidori” area , where the staff of the Dolianova Forestry Corps Station intervened, assisted by a helicopter from the Pula base.
  • Another challenging and dangerous fire on the outskirts of Nuoro ( VIDEO ). Also in this case ground teams and air vehicles are in action. A section of the 131 dcn is also closed.
