Fire at Calangianus, Canadair broken down and forced to ditch
The plane remained on the waters of Lake Liscia. Air fleet also in flight for a fire in BonorvaA Canadair (the Can-08) was forced to land in the lake of the Liscia dam, in the Luras area, due to a failure. No problem for the crew, but an important resource is missing in the fight against the fire that is destroying the woods in Calangianus.
Another Canadair and the Drago fire brigade helicopter are operating on the same front: the teams on the ground cannot give their support because the area is inaccessible and difficult to reach.
It was necessary to close the state road 427 "della Gallura Centrale" to traffic in both directions.
The flames are devastating the woods in the Sìgara area. And they head towards Calangianus.
Meanwhile, another Canadair is carrying out launches in Bonorva territory. Here too, as in Calangianus, this is the restart of a fire that was thought to have been extinguished in the last few hours: according to what transpires, there are not enough teams on the ground to carry out clean-ups after the extinguishing. And the fire regains strength, destroying everything.
