Fire at a waste storage facility: alarm raised in Cagliari

Fire alarm at dawn this morning on Via Nervi in Cagliari.

The fire broke out at a waste storage and disposal facility , with the flames spreading, for reasons still under investigation, to a tank for the collection of used oil and other containers of inert materials.

The Fire Brigade of the Cagliari Command intervened on the scene: a team supported by two fire engines and a self-protecting vehicle was in action, which put out the flames and secured the area before the fire could spread to some vehicles and the entire structure.
No one was injured.
