One hundred candles, a century of life lived among the affection of family members. In Sorso there is a big celebration for Costantino Franca, born in 1924, who turned 100.

Enlisted in the Navy during the Second World War, he was then decorated with the War Cross for having participated with honor in the battle of Pantelleria on 15 June 1942 and received recognition from the Ministry of Defense - General Directorate for Personnel of the Navy military, for participation in the war campaigns of 1942, 1943, 1944 and 1945.

Subsequently, and until his retirement, he worked as a janitor at Sorso elementary schools. With him to celebrate were his children Marisa, Francesco and Antonella with their families and his beloved grandchildren Carla, Giulia and Jolanda, together with the mayor Fabrizio Demelas and the sports councilor Fabio Idini, who brought the warmest wishes from part of the entire municipal administration and presented a commemorative plaque to the centenary.
