Understanding what lies behind the criminal acts conducted to the detriment of so many women is not at all simple, and the urgency of "having", and "having" to intervene to put a significant barrier to a criminal and deforming "socio-cultural phenomenon" in continuous growth, induces significant reflections, although sometimes rather bitter in their outcomes, as they are inserted in the context of a pathological human context where "prevent", "protect" and "pursue" are equally significant expressions of a dogmatic and juridical paradigm of intervention which to date, unfortunately, despite the undisputed ideological value, fails, on a practical level, to guarantee the safety of potential victims.

Sometimes (at least this is the feeling), the same "narration" that arises from it appears as severely "vitiated" by a "schematic" basic spectacle that identifies the "predator", the "master man", like a beast ferocious psychopath (as if the pathology, if it really exists, can justify its action), unable to manage their violent impulses, and the "victim" as "prey" in some way unjustly "co-responsible" (which is simply absurd and misleading) for not being able to and / or for not being able to get out of a one-way circuit of intermittent oppression when not even daily in the most serious cases. A "pre-concept", the latter, evidently distorted to be surprisingly conditioned by the still predominant reflections of a certain sexist cultural matrix that still seems to survive in our communities, too often (perhaps deliberately) "distracted" with respect to phenomena that they should instead be deepened and eradicated through a constant and intense educational work that should start from individual family contexts (paradoxically, the stage of the drama) and consequently extend into schools of all levels.

The circumstance that there are Women despite themselves unable to escape from violent men, to protect themselves from abusive and dominant attitudes by developing a real dysfunctional "dependence" towards them does not at all mean sharing and accepting their work: that inability, most of all sometimes, not to say always, as well as that damned prevaricating instinct represent the implication of an endemic fragility (the female one), and of a suppressed anger (the male one) matured, in turn, in an "original" family context of origin already seriously flawed in the explanation of the most intimate sentimental relationships. Transforming the social fabric of reference, I am aware of, is no small feat, and the process requires inadequate timing with respect to the urgent and contingent need to contain tragic events. The media clamor, then, acting as a sounding board for heinous crimes, solicits, on the level of common feeling, the pure and simple perception of the phenomenon, the rapid response of the proceeding Authorities and Institutions which indeed, very often, fail to carry out the preventive function that should be proper to them since they are almost trapped in a sort of systematic and systemic automatism that "induces" them to provide, and ineffectively, only afterwards and almost never "ex ante", that is, when it would be necessary.

Whatever the reasons for this "vulnus", in fact it exists and represents an unacceptable "limit". Meanwhile, due to the persistence of socio-cultural tendencies that minimize all forms of domestic violence downgrading it to a pure and simple couple conflict most often exploited in the judicial context of the pathology of the relationship: that inherent, more commonly, the procedures for separation and divorce . Therefore, for the incurable aptitude for stereotyped representation of the subjects involved which ends up trapping what is an authentic “cancer” of civilized life in misleading schematisms that are not at all expressive of the gravity of the phenomenon. Finally, because, even today, and despite everything, there is a certain widespread difficulty in conceiving the neologism "femicide" as truly meaningful of all forms of gender-based violence and discrimination aimed at the annulment of women as such, not only in his identity and in his capacity for self-determination on the physical level, but also, and above all, on the psychological and relationship level.

Any form of violent attitude, of a prevaricating act perpetrated to the detriment of a Woman, of any order and social class, since it is a transversal phenomenon, is closely related to the need to express an unnatural "power" whose ultimate goal is systematically expressed in the tendency to the insinuating exercise of a humiliating and conditioning submission on an emotional level that imprisons the victim in a vortex of blocking fears as they are fed by an induced and subtle sense of guilt that is actually unjustified. If we wanted to translate these reflections on a more exquisitely practical level, we would have to say: that it is necessary, first of all, to support the "victim" Woman to help her reach that sufficient level of awareness referred to her own experience that is useful to cancel any tendency towards self-blame for the violence suffered; that it is also necessary to dissolve any dysfunctional conviction still existing in the social contexts of reference expressive of the "relational drama", such as, for example, the minimization of violence, the social refusal to acknowledge the existence of a problem, the its interpretation in a purely pathological key; that it is also necessary to learn to think in terms of "prevention" to avoid intervening only when the violent act was inevitably consumed in general indifference.

Some might object that the principle of not guilty could constitute a limit to any form of preconceived preventive "condemnation" based solely on the "denunciation" of a party without a prior and complete assessment. For this reason, I believe that the legislator, despite the numerous legislative interventions on the subject, most recently the so-called "Red Code", has not yet managed to find acceptable formulas of precautionary intervention that are suitable for being translated without difficulty on a practical level. In fact, the precautionary measures contemplated therein are not always sufficient to inhibit the anti-juridical conduct of the aggressors who, dominated by real delusions of omnipotence, make themselves lawful to violate the provisions of the proceeding judge, deeming them unjust. Despite everything, and despite the various political forces supporting the measure have shouted for success, however, even the "Red Code" actually represents a rudimentary intervention, an unsuitable palliative if parameterized to a reality still unable to educate men to respect women .
