Sandro Sarais, after having partially admitted his responsibilities to the carabinieri immediately after the capture, also today in the hearing for the validation of the arrest for the femicide of Mihaela Kleics has chosen the path of silence.

He availed himself of the right not to answer the questions of the investigating judge who will now have to decide on the request for a precautionary measure in prison made by the prosecutor Nicoletta Mari.

"He said he still wasn't feeling well and asked for some more time to clarify everything," Sarais lawyer Shannon Cipollina explained. He is thus in detention at the Businco hospital.

Sarais, 56 years old from Nuraminis, is accused of the murder of his Romanian companion. The fifty-year-old was found dead in her house in via della Musica in Quartu. There were 35 stab wounds on his body, although the confirmation of the autopsy that the coroner Roberto Demontis is to perform today is awaited.

Quarrels, screams and death threats were the order of the day in the attic on the third floor of the building. All the tenants reported this to the carabinieri of the Quartu company and the provincial investigative unit. And a compatriot of the victim reported the death threats that the woman suffered from Sarais: "If you leave me, I'll kill you."

The couple's strange and prolonged stays in a hotel in Cagliari also appear: she with citizenship income and he unemployed had a high standard of living compared to income. We are therefore digging on several fronts to understand if the woman was dominated by the man.

The crime would have taken place on Saturday. Then Sarais drove off in a long-ago hired car. The carabinieri tracked him down in Solanas on Monday, the day the woman's lifeless body was found, and the man attempted suicide with a knife, a different one than the crime.
