Fear on the Sorso-Sennori: a tree collapses, a near tragedy
Traffic was at a standstill, several cars were passing along State Road 200 at that moment
Fear along state road 200, the road that connects Sorso to Sennori, interrupted by the sudden collapse of a tree . Bad weather, with strong gusts of wind and rain, caused the large plant to collapse.
It happened late in the morning today, March 3, when some cars were passing on the road which, fortunately, did not suffer serious consequences . The plant fell on the asphalt, occupying part of the roadway and traffic went haywire.
Motorists were able to respond to the emergency, some arming themselves with special tools and breaking the large tree branch by branch. Despite the rain they used ropes and other materials to free part of the road from danger . Others blocked traffic while waiting for the firefighters to arrive. The teams who promptly arrived on site removed the tree and made the entire area safe to allow the road to immediately reopen to traffic.
