Father's Day. «Or father's, as I always called mine». The president of the Region awaiting official proclamation, Alessandra Todde, participates in the day with a post, sharing a memory of Giovanni Todde, her father.

«He taught mathematics and physics, he was in love with numbers and I learned a lot from him. He gave me my first computer, a Commodore Vic 20, when I was very little. He would have liked to finish his studies as an engineer, but then life led him to choose mathematics and teaching, which he loved so much", says Todde.

To then continue: «I obtained the title of engineer for him. He wanted me to become an engineer because he hoped to close the circle, to pass on that passion to me too. And he succeeded."

But then the disease arrived «in 2000. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It leaves no escape: it keeps mental clarity unchanged, but slowly kills the muscles. Those who become ill have difficulty reacting and interact only with their eyes. In February 2005", says the M5s president proudly, "I passed the state exam and I made him happy. My father died shortly after, in April. A thought for all the fathers, even those who are no longer with us, so as to never forget their all-encompassing love and their teachings."
