The Public Prosecutor of Cagliari has asked to confirm the twenty years in prison for Joselito and Michael Marras , father and son of 53 and 28 years of Dolianova already convicted in the first degree for the double murder of two Calabrian breeding brothers, Massimiliano and Davide Mirabello. , aged 35 and 40, killed on 9 February 2020 in the countryside of the southern Sardinian town.

Before the Court of Assizes of Appeal presided over by Judge Paolo Costa , the deputy pg Michele Incani contested the appeal presented by the lawyers Patrizio Rovelli and Maria Grazia Monni, defenders of the two defendants who in first instance - at the end of the trial with shortened procedure - had been sentenced to 20 years (30 minus the reduction of one third).

Also asked for confirmation of the sentence of 2 years and 8 months for Stefano Mura , 43, also from Dolianova, accused of aiding and abetting for a knife found near the crime scene.

The Marras brothers after the murder - due to tensions and neighborhood disputes between farmers - allegedly threw the bodies of the two victims into the Mediterranean scrub, at the mercy of foxes and wild boars. They were found after a month, when the carabinieri had already arrested the perpetrators and Joselito had indicated the place where the corpses were, admitting the crime but completely exonerating the son. The investigators are not of the same opinion, according to which the young man also participated in the double murder.

Tonight also a long harangue from the defenders, according to which Joselito defended himself with a rifle from the aggression of the two Calabrian brothers armed with knives.
