His dishes are a work of art, tastings appreciated by the "loyal" customers who frequented his premises. Giovanni Silanos, a well-known restaurateur-entrepreneur from Sassari , passed away at the age of 65, a piece of history of the city where he was known and loved as the founder of the Camelot Pub, in the historic center, and of the Borgo di San Francesco café restaurant in via Volontè.

On social networks hundreds of messages of condolence from the many who liked his dishes, from the horse meat sandwich to the more sophisticated dishes. A continuous relationship with the people of the night, people of all ages and all social classes who served from 20 to six in the morning, people who loved to linger taking advantage of its delicacies served with generous doses.

In its premises also famous artists, national and international, actors and musicians, singers and VIPs who regularly stopped in his restaurant as a visit to a historic monument that they could not miss. Expansive and cordial with customers, Giovanni Silanos leaves behind a wife and two children. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 3 pm in the church of Santa Maria Bambini.
