He pretended to be hospitalized abroad, used false identities, hid thanks to some abettors and even presented a request for mercy for himself, signing on behalf of his mother. DDN, 57 years old, from Cagliari, has tried everything to escape capture and serve a sentence of 4 years and six months: he was declared a fugitive on 6 September last, by decree of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic. The carabinieri from the Villanova station arrested him in recent days.

The requested person, through a certified e-mail, had communicated that he could not appear before justice because he was hospitalized abroad.

From the investigations carried out by the Carabinieri it emerged that not only was he not outside Italy, but also that he had gone to Latina and Rome several times, enjoying the collaboration of some abettors. It is suspected that the fifty-seven-year-old traveled under a false name, using the personal data of the two elderly parents to manage their pensions, manage their Spid profiles, home banking, create certified e-mails and email addresses. And even, even, to ask for a pardon for himself by forging his mother's signature.

The investigators, thanks to painstaking analysis of the telephone records of the supporters and the passenger lists of airlines and shipping companies, observation and shadowing services, study of social media and other open sources, as well as with the use of telephone interceptions, they finally managed to trace the movements of DDN, who was supposed to present himself at the Santissima Trinità on the morning of the 3rd.

And it was in the hospital that the police waited for him, pretending to be patients: they blocked him at the exit. And even in this case the fifty-seven year old denied his real identity. But he was now stuck: he is now in a cell in Uta.
